The Ultimate Speed, Inc. Sports Training System provides state of the art training in the
specific areas involved in sports performance, including
- strength
- speed
- endurance
- balance
- agility
The Frappier Acceleration Sports Training ® System is the
foundation of the Ultimate Speed, Inc. training system, utilizing the concepts and research of
exercise physiologist John Frappier, MS.
The qualified staff of Ultimate Speed, Inc. offers the latest speed-specific
and sport-specific training applications to athletes (novice, amateur, professional) of all ages and
all sports.
The goal of Ultimate Speed, Inc. is to provide an atmosphere where
individuals can learn the basics of running faster, jumping higher, and
body control, through fun, safe, effective stimulation of those muscles involved in
their specific sports.
The Ultimate Speed, Inc. staff utilizes scientifically designed and
tested equipment for the improvement of overall
athletic ability. The Frappier Acceleration ® Super Treadmill allows for manipulation of the two most important
components of running speed, stride length and
stride frequency. The Super Treadmill has the mechanical ability to
adjust both speed (1mph to 28mph) and elevation (0° to 40°),
while providing consistent belt velocity for the imitation of "land" running on a cushioned landing surface.
In conjunction with the Super Treadmill, hip girdle and core strengthening are targeted for assisting in the
improvement of running form. Often overlooked, hip
strength, meaning the hip flexors and the powerful hip extensors, is acquired through consistent use of the
Pro Multi-Hip Machine. Numerous studies have stated the
importance of "over-speed" stimulation, and adequate hip strengthening and
flexibility for the improvement of running velocity. The Ultimate Speed, Inc. speed program provides both of these qualities with the Frappier Acceleration ® Super Treadmill and the Pro Multi-Hip machines.
The improvement of jumping ability demands sport-specific training
of the powerful leg and hip musculature, along with
stability in the abdominal and low back muscles ("core").
The Frappier Acceleration ® Plyopress is used in conjunction with the scientifically designed
plyometric jumping protocols. This combination of weight-loaded plyometric drills and body weight
quickness drills are safe, effective methods of training the powerful leg muscles involved with jumping ability, in addition to teaching proper technique in controlling the body's center of mass via "core" stability.
The Ultimate Speed, Inc. program offers specially designed training programs utilizing
traditional resistance training, physioball training, medicine ball training, along with
patented Sprintcord ™ technology. The sport-specific functional training programs are
designed and manipulated for each individual athlete for his/her particular sport. Whether you are a
football player or a golfer, participating at the novice or professional level, the sport-specific functional training program can assist you in improving strength, balance, and coordination in your particular sport.
Sprintcord ™ technology was originated by John Frappier in the late eighties, and provides
accurate resistance to running, throwing, kicking, and
hitting athletes during performance of their specific skill. The
Sprintcord device is designed to load the appropriate muscles at specific times during the activity, providing
exact neuromuscular recruitment of those muscles utilized during the motion. By utilizing this device, individuals gain "functional strength" towards that particular skill. There is
no device that imitates Sprintcord technology and is offered only at Frappier Acceleration Sports Training ® sites.
The Ultimate Speed, Inc. training programs offer the individual numerous training choices not only for
improving their specific skills, but also to provide the individual with
good, sound training habits for future fitness and the prevention of injury. The Ultimate Speed, Inc. training
programs are set up over 6 weeks, but for ultimate success in any sport,
training and conditioning should be a continuous
process.
